Three UiTM Students Break Into the International Animation Arena

Three students from the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, UiTM Shah Alam under the guidance of their lecturer, Mohamad Razeef Shah Mohmad Rafik won the local round of the Asiagraph Reallusion Award (Malaysia) in June 2017 and were selected to represent Malaysia at the prestigious international animation competition in Taiwan today.

What is interesting about the competition was the students needed to come up with a 1-5 minutes 3D animation sequence using the iClone 7 software within 48 hours.

Representing Malaysia at the international level, these students won the Foundry Special Award, which was a special jury award.

The award was presented by China-based Base FX’s VFX Producer, Gavin Boyle, famed for his visual effects for films from Hollywood.

These three students have made Malaysia and UiTM proud by breaking into the highly-specialized and competitive international arena for animation.
