Congratulations to the UiTM Chamber Choir, Faculty of Music for doing so well in Greece and Vienna.
Thank you very much Vice Chanvellor UiTM, Yang Berbahagia Emeritus Professor Dato’ Dr. Hassan Said for being the main sponsor for the event, as well as the whole-hearted support from Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) and Arshad Ayub Foundation.
The chamber choir performance was held two days ago at Gläserner Saal of the Musikverein, Vienna, Austria to a discerning crowd of close to 300 people, comprising of ambassadors, representatives from embassies and the United Nations.
In another development, the UiTM Women’s Chorale team also resoundingly made the mark in Greece at the International Choir Competition & Festival Kalamata 2017, competing with a total of 52 choirs from 14 countries.
The team performed two pieces from home, Dayung Sampan by Darius Lim and Chikala Le Pong Pong by Ken Steven, that readily touched the hearts of jurors and the audience to win the first prize (Gold Diploma).
